Internship Opportunity

Students, do you need an internship?  
The Walker's Point Center of the Arts has an opening for a design internship!  




Overview:
Walker’s Point Center for the Arts is seeking a smart, outgoing intern to assist with creative design of educational and gallery marketing materials.  The ideal candidate is independent and eager to learn, with a strong desire to gain experience in a professional environment.  Intern will be expected to work closely with Marketing Coordinator in a deadline driven environment.  WPCA offers flexibility with student schedules during the academic year. 

Timeline:
January 3, 2012 – May 31, 201

Job Requirements:
*Designs will include: exhibition postcards, educational flyers/brochure, logo for WPCA’s SO/HO program, t-shirts
*Must be able to meet deadlines.
*Must be able to achieve the desired aesthetic laid out for promotional materials for exhibitions and events.
*Must be able to work from home with regular access to a personal computer and a recent version of the Adobe Suite.
*Must be able to meet with Membership/Marketing Coordinator, Mary Overman for regular meetings regarding assignments and deadlines.  

Compensation:
This is an unpaid internship.  Intern will receive copies of printed materials for portfolio.
