ART 413 Students Visit Chicago

On Friday November 11, students in the ART 413 class (also known as Time Based Media... essentially the advanced graphics and photography class) took a trip to Chicago to visit two famous studios: Leo Burnett and VSA Partners.

As many of you know Leo Burnett is one of the largest agencies in the world, working with clients such as Kelloggs, McDonalds, Allstate, the World Wildlife Fund, and more.  Leo Burnett is also home to one of Stritch's alum, Kieran Antill!  Students began their day with an informal panel-style presentation with three young and upcoming designers from the agency.   After an awesome lunch, they then toured a few of the agency's floors.

After the tour at Leo Burnett the students walked on over to VSA Partners, home to such clients as Converse, Cole Haan, GE, Harley Davidson, and others.  Stritch first learned of VSA when partner Jamie Koval came to a AIGA Wisconsin event.  After viewing some of VSA's awesome work, students toured the space and experienced what it was like working in a studio setting.

A big thanks goes out to Leo Burnett and VSA Partners for taking the time out of their schedules to let us come in for a tour!  (Also thanks to the Visual Arts Department who sponsored the field trip.)
