.::. Artist's Statement .::.
I see design as simply a highly refined form of
communication. It combines our most successful traditional ways of
communication, story telling, language, and visual arts, into a power-packed
multimedia expression.
My work has always been focused on being intelligible.
Nothing should take away from the original purpose of any design. I never
underestimate the ability of strong typography or the effectiveness of layout
and conscious white space.
I am inspired most by the needs of others. When challenged
with a problem I see the designer as the liaison between the need and a
well-designed conceptual solution. Balancing the demands of each side becomes
the crux of a successful designer and there is no greater feeling of
accomplishment than to produce an intelligent, creative, and effective
solution.
I am proud and excited to be a designer in a generation that
is continuing to understand the importance and inherent power in communication
and good design.
