.::. Artist's Statement .::.

When I think about design, I know that it goes beyond a logo or an advertisement.  To me, design is an exoskeleton: an outside infrastructure if you will.  Successful design is what makes us choose to buy the clothes we wear, the food we eat, or the car we drive. 

After my years here at Stritch, I’ve learned that design doesn’t just stop at aesthetics; as designers we provide a service to our clients.  Going against the grain and exceeding expectations is what sets Stritch’s program apart from others: this is something I am very proud to be a part of.

Now that I am wrapping up my final semester here, I am both excited and anxious to see what comes next.  Sometimes I find myself worrying about the next step, but then I remember one of the most important points I learned while here: sometimes taking that leap of faith into the strange unknown is the only way to begin the next phase.
