Faculty Spotlight: Tim Abler


Long time faculty member, Tim Abler, is currently being featured in two photography exhibitions.

The first exhibition is at the Racine Art Museum. His photos are included in the Wisconsin Photography Exhibition. Wisconsin Photography is a statewide competition organized by the Racine Art Museum since 1979. The Exhibition includes 118 pieces by 50 artists, which were selected from the 862 photographs submitted by 87 photographers. The two pieces Tim has in this exhibit are Cemetery Shadows and Walking Home From Market.

The second exhibition Tim is a part of is the PhotoMidwest Seven State Juried Exhibition, which is on display at UW-Madison. Entries were accepted from Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Michigan, and Missouri. Total of 439 images by 109 artists were entered. Juror Sam Abell selected 49 images from 39 artists. The two photographs Tim has in this exhibit are Walking Home From Market and Christ on Cell Phone
