Everyone inspires me to some degree. I do one of two things when I see a person’s work: either (A) Absorb pleasing visuals and interesting concepts, or (B) Understand what not to do with a concept. Everything I see and hear gets filed and stored in my memory. What I create is a vast hybrid of everything I’ve absorbed and borrowing, merging other people’s ideas to form something unique and interesting.
I used to build and stretch canvases and paint impressionistic abstract landscapes on them. I’ve grown out of it recently to pursue more serious endeavors in photography. Lately I’ve been obsessing over commercial photography, photo illustration and fashion. I already love making digital black and white portraits in the studio, but I would like to evolve this work into a more grand production with more models, more design, and more art direction. I hope to find a career in a commercial studio so I can work in this type of photography until I either go blind or die.

I prefer that you keep making photographs.
Tim hates my paintings
