AIGA Student Summit

On October 22, AIGA student members Rachel Babiak and Sarah Peck attended the Student Summit hosted by AIGA Wisconsin.  The purpose of the summit was to bring local Wisconsin student groups together to talk about AIGA events they've done, share ideas with how to make AIGA more effective for students, and come up with some awesome plan of actions.  (The free Pizza Shuttle was a great reason to come too!)

Students and professional members gathered at Redline Milwaukee for a four-hour workshop filled with inspiring ideas and lots of brainstorming.  Student groups from Stritch, MIAD, MATC Milwaukee, MATC Madison, UWM, and Mount Mary worked together in teams of three students (all from different schools) to talk about what they've done with AIGA and how AIGA could help them even more.

After lunch, students got back together with their schools to come up with a personalized plan of action.  (Essentially, it is a business plan that will help each school's AIGA group implement success for the rest of the school year.)  Sarah and Rachel also made some networking connections with other schools in hopes to plan and attend events together.

So what exactly did Stritch's AIGA write up for their plan of action?
Can't reveal it yet... but stay tuned for more details later this semester! ;]

Fantastic! I am thrilled to see that Stritch students are joining together with other schools and are now part of the AIGA conversation. Congratulations!
