I believe photography is a study of how I see the world around me, or rather how I wish I could see it. The world around me becomes distorted in the abstract ways in which I first glimpse them. While my eyes miss catching details in sharp focus, my camera picks up the slack

I gain most of my inspiration interacting with people around me, whether intimate friends and family or strangers on the street. I’m always eavesdropping, talking to people, and writing what I experience in my everyday life. I’ve recently started a thorough study of the human body, which highlights unique details that otherwise go unnoticed. These figures have taken on personalities and life through the use of extreme lighting and depth of field. They now have given me a transition that I use with my portrait photography in capturing personality.

As I look towards the next chapter of my life, I’m exhilarated with the unknown. Tomorrow is just like photography; sometimes when you look at your negatives and digital files you’ll be surprised at what you find by accident.
