Need fonts?

Imagine this: you are sitting online looking for the perfect font for your business card.  After an hour or so of searching, you finally find the ultimate-most-awesome-best-typeface-ever.   You go to download it, and alas: it's $70!  (Essentially, you are living a design student's nightmare)

Normally, $70 is actually a steal for a font, however we are college students and can't afford lavish lettering all like this; unfortunately, some free font websites online either don't have the best selection or many glyphs are missing from typefaces.  Do not fret!  There's always the Lost Type Co-Op!

This website is great for finding quirky, but show-stealing fonts for your projects.  Fonts are designed by professionals, for professionals.  That's right: no missing glyphs, great kerning, and the "ooh's" and "ahh's" of your fellow design students.  (Essentially a win-win-win situation.)  The best part?  Fonts are within a college student budget!

The Lost Type Co-Op offers the option of "name your price" for each typeface.  That is, you can either pay full price for a font or just donate what you can!  (Or you can enter in "0" for a free typeface.)  All fonts are open to any donation, and for some fonts if you donate a certain amount you can get some extra freebies.

Here are some of our favorites (download by clicking the photos):
