Drawing II: Class Updates

Students in Drawing II meet once a week on Tuesday nights with faculty advisor Steven Sellars.  This course focuses more on drawing styles and the exploration as using drawing in unique ways to create a fascinating sense of visual communication.

The second project that the students worked on was a mythological drawing.  Students could have based their stories off of a myth that they researched or even a personal myth.  Drawings had to include 4 characters that were part-creature (human, animal, etc.) mixed with another element (a human-animal, a human-plant, human-electronic device, etc.)  Here are some samples of finished pieces:

"The Legend of the Dream Catcher"
Mimi Stephan

"Egyptian Creation"
Tazia LeMay

"Cat People"
Rebecca St. Onge

"Legend of Minotaur"
Rachel Winter

"Salome and the Head of John the Baptist"
Jenny Balge

"Owl Soldiers"
Stephanie Frank
