Roots of Development is a non-profit based in Washington, DC
which has raised thousands of dollars for sustainable development projects and
has brought a unique approach to the world of development.
They are hosting the 2nd annual Designs for Development
competition. This is open to anyone who has a love of design. This year, they
want artists to design entries that will be screen-printed on t-shirts. The
finalists will be featured in a runway presentation at Roots or Developments
gala and the winning designs will be sold online to help increase awareness of
the organization and funding for their partnerships in Haiti.
