Class Updates: Printmaking

Students enrolled in printmaking class just finished up the linocut project. Linocut is a form of relief printing where areas are cut out and then stamped in order to achieve different colors in a single print.  Linocuts are generally done in series and often in multiple different color combinations.  (You can read more about linocuts here.)   Below you will find student samples:

Rebecca St. Onge

Riley Schoonover

If you are interested in taking a printmaking class, they are generally offered in the spring.  However, there is a graduate level printmaking class being offered in fall.  Talk to your department advisor if you are interested in taking it and they can help you take the steps for registration!
